As the founder and president of The Clarus Group, Rex spearheads every aspect of the firm. With three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Rex founded Clarus with a mission to provide clients with a comprehensive approach that goes beyond financial planning and managing investments. He believes that a holistic approach is necessary to understand each client's unique goals. Whether it relates to legacy planning, tax efficiencies, family education, or capital management, Rex continues to refine Clarus’ framework, tackling every aspect of our clients’ financial lives.

He works with his team and other advisors to ensure that all complexities are "made simple" for clients, so they can rest easy knowing they are in good hands.

Rex attended Southern Methodist University, where he met his wife, Kristi. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their children, Madison and Grant. The Whiteside Family’s passion for the outdoors has them always looking forward to the next adventure.
